There is something about the Lions series that gets you intrigued. Get’s you excited and pumped to watch rugby. Yes, everyone is predicting the All Blacks to thump the Lions three nil but I’m not so sure.
The Lions tour schedule is incredibly tough and as shown by the Provincial Barbarians last Saturday the standard or rugby in New Zealand is extremely high. In my mind, New Zealand has the best club teams in world rugby, which will be a stern test for the Lions. Along with that they also face the New Zealand Maori side, which will be incredibly strong. Not only will they play with passion like every New Zealand side will, there will be fringe All Blacks trying to push their case to grab a spot in that test side. What makes it harder for the Lions, is the majority of the Super Rugby sides are in tiptop form as shown by the Crusaders and Highlanders match on the weekend, which was an absolute ripper. The players will be super pumped to face the Lions, as for most of them it could be their only opportunity to face them, and they will do so in front of full stadiums wanting Lion’s blood.
